This is a clip from the movie A League of Their Own. If you’ve seen the movie you probably know the scene where Jimmy tells Evelyn “There’s no crying in baseball!”
In this scene Jimmy is trying to be nicer about the way he criticizes the women on his team. The performance is very contained. There aren’t any broad movements, but you can still clearly see all the emotion bubbling inside of him.
Pay attention to the hand poses when he first calls her over starting at 0:44. He uses his hands to communicate his frustration.
At 1:04 there’s a nice emotional change in Evelyn. She’s bracing herself for his yelling, but when she realizes it isn’t coming she gives a big smile. And then she gives this great little awkward wave as she walks away.
