WARNING: This scene and the movie The Boy in the Striped Pajamas deal with some heavy stuff concerning the Holocaust.
With that being said, Vera Farmiga is such a lovely actress. She is fantastic in this movie, in Bates Motel, and in the movie At Middleton.
In this scene pay attention to:
•How the officer’s body language is a bit cocky as he makes his first comment and walks around the woman.
•Her change in emotion as she realizes the meaning of the officer’s comment.
•How uncomfortable the officer is after he realizes she didn’t know what was going on. He starts to blink more, and he quickly turns away.
•How her eyes dart as she’s thinking and putting the pieces together and how her breathing gets heavier.
The scene lasts until 0:55 but the scene right after is great as well.
